Are home training workouts effective?
To save you from reading the rest of the article – that is correct, home training workouts are VERY effective! Although if not sold or want to read a bit more on how and why that is, read on.
Free weights are part of home gym equipment too
Pretty much majority of the commercial gym equipment are made up of free weights, and is a staple part of any gymgoer’s workout routine. But unlike machines, you can easily have these at home too.
Hence the name, free weights allow your body and muscles to move freely in many different dimensions, therefore effectively targeting several muscles (compound training) whilst working your stablisers and core at the same time.
It doesn’t get more effective than that!
It’s all in the mind
If there’s a will, there’s a way, we’ve all heard it before. Whether you are using a pair of dumbbells, resistance bands, or even just your own body weight – if you challenge your muscles in the right ways it doesn’t care where the stimulation is coming from.
For example, take a look at gymnasts – hell of a physique right? An Olympic Ring Gymnast would only train on the rings, mastering different movements and strengthening that core control. Yet they boast a well torte upper body shaped like a Greek God, and abs that no amount of cable machine crunches could replicate.
Easier access means more frequency
More frequency equals more volume. The only way you’re going to progress with your training goals is to hit it often and hit it hard!
When your home is your gym, it can be tricky for motivation sometimes. But that’s no excuse, without the need to travel all the way to gym, as well as being able to train at any time you want, you should easily be able to train once or twice daily for 6 days a week.
Home training can be just as effective, when you train with the right equipment (which can also just be your body half the time). The only thing that will limit you is your motivation and imagination.
